Guidance, not legal advice
Velkado explains what students usually need to do. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for the official source, the university, an embassy or consulate, an immigration office, or a qualified adviser.
Checked and not checked
Each step shows when a person last checked it against its official source. A step marked as not yet checked may be out of date or wrong. If you see something that looks outdated, tell us with the "This is outdated" button on the step.
Your case may differ
Rules depend on your nationality, where you live, your qualification, the university and the date. We say plainly when your situation is not covered, and then you should ask the official authority.
The assistant and the letter scanner
They can make mistakes. For letters about a court, a fine, a debt, your visa or residence, or being removed from a course, contact the office named in the letter or a qualified adviser before you reply or pay anything.
